How to spot snipers, bundles and team wallets on pump.fun and BNB launchpads

Most rugs aren't clever. The supply was just in the wrong hands from the first second. Here's how to see that before you buy, and the exact lines the otter uses.

1. Check for bundles

A bundle is a group of wallets buying at the moment of launch. On Solana they often land in the same slot and pay a Jito tip to get in first. We count a buy as bundled if it lands in the launch moment, pays a Jito tip, or happens in the same instant as another wallet's buy in the first couple of minutes. On BNB, Robinhood and Arc, several wallets buying in the launch block count too.

2. Check for snipers

Snipers are bots that buy in roughly the first 60 seconds. They're not always bad, but a lot of sniped supply means a lot of people waiting to sell.

  • Under 3% bundled plus sniped: clean.
  • 3% to 10%: some early hands. Be careful.
  • Over 10%: heavy. Over 20% costs a coin points outright.

3. Check the dev's bag

Our best runners had devs holding under 2%. Coins that scored well and then died often had devs on 5% to 10%.

  • Under 2%: fine.
  • 2% to 5%: watch the dev wallet.
  • 5% to 10%: heavy, the score takes a cut.
  • Over 10%: big red flag.

4. Check the holder spread

Look at the top 10 holders, leaving out the pool and burn addresses. Healthy coins usually have the top 10 under 23% and no linked group of wallets over 6%. Linked means one wallet sent SOL or tokens to the others, or they were funded from the same place.

5. Check taxes and contract rules

On BNB launchpads like Flap.sh, coins can carry a buy or sell tax. Anything over 10% fails our check. On EVM chains, look for a renounced owner and verified source.

Skip the homework

Every coin page on CAscreener.ai runs these checks and writes the answer in plain words. Paste any contract in the search, or browse the live pond. New here? See how this fits next to DexScreener.

Got a contract in mind?

Paste it in the search bar at the top. The otter checks any Solana, BNB, Robinhood or Arc coin, even ones he hasn't seen yet.

Not financial advice. Scores are automated on-chain signals, not a safety guarantee. Always check the contract yourself.
